Some reports suggest that you would need to use your plastic tree for 20+ years for it to be a greener alternative to a real tree. Once you are done with the tree, there are companies who can re-plant it or you can recycle it. 

Wrapping Paper

Choose your wrapping paper carefully. Most wrapping paper contains materials that are not recyclable. Make sure the wrapping you're using can be recycled.

Same goes for Christmas Cards. If you still enjoy sending Christmas cards to your family and friends make sure they are eco-friendly and can be recycled

Christmas lights brighten up every home all over the country, give a thought to how much electricity is guzzled up over the festive period! LED lights use 80% less energy than their incandescent counterparts. They may cost a little more but they are worth every penny!
